August 10, 2008 --  Added PigOut 2008 info page, w/ links on body. Added reservation form w/ links. Updated Sept. hike on body.  Added Sam's August hike pics to the recenthikes page.

August 4, 2008 -- updated itemsfor page to show 2008 edition of map and map info to the whatsnew page (some tidying up on this page).  Added link to body for the whatsnew 2008 map. updated August workday on body.

July 28, 2008 -- corrected error on hikes page. Removed a former vendor from the trailmap page, the maps page and the traildescription page, linking all to the itemsfor page to reduce redundancy. Fixed a broken link on the maps page. Corrected error on directions page.

July 22, 2008 -- (computer was down for a while, putting new flooring in) -- updated main page with August hike info.  Added July hike to the recenthikes page. Jan 29, 2008 -- FTP is working again. Uploaded the Jan 17 and 19 entries below. I will go back and review and make some other changes, but for now, I wanted to get this portion up.  Updated the main page with February hike and deleted the hunting meeting info.

Jan 19, 2008 -- redid the hidshike2 page, w/ revisions sent by Sam Burke. Also edited for clarity, added theme for continuity, tables, fonts, colors, etc.

Jan 17, 2008 --  Lots of changes: 

Due to the DNR increasing fees Jan. 1, I changed the following pages to reflect the increase: groups, FAQ, camping. 

Major renovation on the "join" page (as we aren't currently using the email/join feature) and to eliminate duplication of information. Also added the background theme to increase continuity, changed fonts, colors, size, etc. (note: "join" page is much better, but I need to refine this page a bit, as part of my ongoing effort to review seldom used pages and upgrade them)  

Major renovation on the about us page, I added background theme, changed fonts, size and colors, edited for clarity and updated information, as well as elimination of duplication by addition of links to other pages onsite. Also edited the page for clarity, outdated information, punctuation and spelling errors. 

Groups page: Added links to other pages to increase usability and did a couple of clarity edits as well as some elimination of duplication, and outdated info. Added a few links for info (example: CCC link to wiki, etc)  (note to self: edit wikipedia's FDR State Park page to add in our website link. Also need to set up a wiki PMTA page)

Jan 15, 2008 -- removed link to the PMTA myspace page from the main page and the links page.

Jan 14, 2008 -- added new fire pic to the main page above the note lifting the fire ban.

Jan 13, 2008 -- edited the safety page for clarity, and added that you should sign the trail register where available. Created text  form to link to safety page. Added a myspace link to the main page and the links page.  Updated the main page with the new workday. Changed the year on the hike on main page from 2007 to 2008.

Jan 10, 2008 -- updated the safety page with revisions from Jim.  Updated the main page with the lifting of the fire ban. (NOTE: also changed the information on the myspace page. Changed Jim's title from president to vice-president on the hikes, workdays, presmes and the itemsfor page. Updated info on the donations page.

August 31, 2007 - Added August hike to the recenthikes page. Updated the main page with the September hike and workday.

August 9, 2007 - added a PigOut 2007 info page, added a reservation form as a Word document, added links on the main page to both, redid the NEW section in the middle of the main page. Added link to the PigOut info to the hikes page under the pre-PigOut hike section.

August 8, 2007 -- added burning/hunting info to the president's message page.  Added a "new" link to the main page for the presidents message and the new hikes and workdays. Added Dusty Nix's Ledger-Enquirer's editorial to the bulletin board page.  Added new hikes to the hikes page. Added new workdays to the workday page and changed the table colors and fonts to hopefully make it stand out a bit.

January 25, 2007 -- reworked the "camping" page a bit, put the text into a table so that it wouldn't run all the way to the edge of the screen.

January 21, 2007 -- 

• Fixed the date of the Feb hike on the main page. 

• Redid the backcountry camping page per Jim's revisions, did some editing and cleaning up, standardizing, inserting links, etc. to make the page a little more neat and orderly. (Lots of work there.)

January 16, 2007 -- Updated the president's message, workdays, hikes, and the what's new section. Added http://www.geocaching.com/ to the links page, along with the PMT cache info. Changed the hike and workday info on the main page.

January 7, 2007 -- Took the Jan workday off the main page. Waiting on a workday schedule.  Added a link to the workdays in that block. (note: need to archive the workdays by year so that the page will load quicker.)  Added info from the Jan workday.  Added the text to Brad's article on the White Candle Trail to the members bulletin board page, with permission from Brad.  Also fixed the "join" page so that you can no longer submit your information via web.  Fixed a couple of broken links on that page as well as did a bit of tidying up.

December 26, 2006 -- Added the East End Loop to the "about us" page w/ a link to the traildescription page. Added the East End Loop to the traildescription page, with a few changes per Jim and a few bits of tidying up from me. Fixed a pic on the "what's new" page.

December 14, 2006 -- Added pics to the White Candle Trail dedication/hike on the "recent hikes" page.  Created a "contrib" page that Jim authored, detailing what contributions do and how we spend the money. Added a "contributions and donations" link to the main page and the "about us" page.Resending FAQ trying to get the twig girdler pics to show up.

December 12, 2006 -- Updated the What's New page with info on Dowdell's Knob, updated the "about us" page...fixed the WJSP-TV link (which has been broke forever), and added a revised section that had originally been on the bottom of the "join" page. Jim Hall rewrote it and I felt it worked better on the "about us" page I changed around the fonts, colors and formatting on the page also. I deleted the info from the "join" page. Added twig girdler photos to the FAQ page, and did a bit of tidying up on that page. Updated the January hike and workdays on the main page and added a blurb to point to the White Candle Trail dedication and hike. Added Jim's write-up of the December hike/dedication to the recent hikes page.

November 25, 2006 -- Updated the trail maintenance page with the November workday, the bullboard page with Jim's 10/20 update of the Dowdell Knob project, the hikes page with the November night hike, and the November backpacking hike and pics. Added a new FAQ (double blazes). Added some pics about fires on the backcountry camping page (camping.htm).   

November 16, 2006 -- Updated the main page with new hike and workday info. Updated the workday page with new December info.

November 6, 2006 -- Updated the maps and trailmap pages. Dropped the kids map graphic and added two smaller ones of the actual trail map, per Jim's suggestion. Had a lot of emails about downloading a map.  Added the November backpacking hike to the main page. 

October 31, 2006 --  Updated the main page with the November hike, uploaded  the PigOut pics and Jim's write up of same.

October 25, 2006 -- Updated the main page with the November workday. Updated the MAPS page and the ITEMSFOR page with current locations to purchase trail maps.

That will make it easier for me, or whoever does this, each year.  We now have five full years of hikes archived! Pretty cool. Updated the trail maint page with the Jan 14 and Jan 28 workdays.

October 25, 2005 - Updated the itemsfor page with info on the 2005 maps, and tweaked some wording. Put a notice on the main page as well. Corrected a Jan 2006 date on the workdays page. Updated the membership page (changed 28 yrs to 30 yrs).

September 20, 2005 -- Updated the main page by removing the change to the September workday. Updated the hikes page with a pigout link, the president's message page, added a pigout 2005 page, updated the membership page, the trail maintenance page and the workdays page. Have a few other items to add, will try to catch them soon 

September 4, 2005 -- haven't done much updating with the demise of my main computer. Diagnosis continues. 

September 4, 2005 -- Updated the main page with the September hike, the change to the September workday and different photos, as well as changing the wording to the FAQ link. Updated the recent hikes page with the August hike, the workdays page with the change to the September workday meeting place. Changed Jim Hall's phone number on the hikes page. July 17, 2005 -- Finally got around to doing some updating. Updated the main page with Thursday's night hike, and while I was there, kinda changed things around a little. Added a couple of pictures, I think it looks better, what do y'all think? Updated the hikes page, and the recent hikes page with the July 9 hike.

June 13, 2005 - Jim checked out the site, and here's what I've missed: Updated the camping page with some new info from Jim. Took Warm Springs Welcome Center off the maps page (as a place where maps are sold), took them off the itemsfor page, and changed Jim's phone number on same. Also changed Jim's number on the FAQ page, as well as some other info on llama access.

June 11, 2005 -- Been awhile, had some computer issues, but we'll try again. Updated the recent hikes page with the June hike, and the camping page. Added a "groups" page with info on how to act on the trail w/ a new link on the main page. Made a few small changes to the main page. Updated using the newsletter info: members bulletin board page,  membership report, president's message, maintenance page, the trail register page, the hikes and workdays pages. Changed the parking pass fee from $2 to $3 on the camping page and the main page. If you see the wrong price elsewhere, please let me know.

May 15, 2005 -- Updated the May hike on the front page and the recent hikes page. 

May 11, 2005 -- Finally getting back to updates after Jazzfest and then catching up post-Jazzfest.  Updated the main page to show Saturday's hike, the hikes page, and workdays page.

April 21, 2005 -- Took off the group camp workday link from the front page, added text and captions to the large group camp clean-up on the maint page. Changed Jim's ph # on the camping page.

April 18, 2005 -- Updated the workdays page with the March and April workdays.

April 3, 2005 -- Updated the April hike on the home page, the hikes page, the membership page, the March hike with pictures, added the March workday info to the bulletin board page, with a link on the home page, added the Georgia Parks reservation info to the backcountry camping page, added the mountain travel guide site to the links page.

March 14, 2005 -- Yesterday I messed around trying to figure out why emails and join requests weren't being forwarded to my home address. Still don't have an answer to that one.  Today, Jerry Brown is taking over the membership responsibilities and I changed a couple of pages to reflect that: Membership report, and backpacking FAQ, and the join-action page, so that Jerry gets the applications online. Changed Jim Hall's phone number on a couple of pages.

February 28, 2005 --- After some weirdness with my FTP program, I finally got to do some updates. Updated the workdays page. Updated the trail maintenance page with the Feb. workday.  Added a couple of links to the links page. Added wilderness first aid class info to the bulletin board page with a link on the front page. 

February 21, 2005 -- Updated the recent hikes with the Feb hike, the hikes and workdays page, and updated the March hike on the front page.. 

January 18, 2005 -- Updated the front page with the February hike, deleted a couple of old hikes from the hikes page. Created a 2004 hikes page for last year's photos, and started anew with 2005 on the recent hikes page, with the January 17 hike.

December 24, 2004 -- Redesigned the "links" page.

December 16, 2004 -- Updated the front page with a new pic of snow on Rocky Point, and a link to info on a possible snow hike, which is on the bulletin board page. Added the January hike to the front page.  Updated the main page with the Dec. 4 workday pics.

November 30, 2004 --- Updated the hike on the front page, and changed out one of the pictures of the trail.  Updated the hikes page. Added River Town Adventure Club to the links page.  Added Jim's description of the night hike and Jerry's photos to the "recent hikes" page. Updated the hikes and workdays page with Jim Hall's phone number and a link to the FAQ page which shows distances and directions to the parking lots from the park office. Added the 11/06 workday and pictures to the "maint" page.

November 16, 2004 -- Corrected the day on the main page for the night hike from Saturday to Friday.

November 10, 2004 -- Updated the hikes and workdays pages. Tried to neaten up the pages a little and add a little consistency. 

November 1, 2004 -- Corrected some mangled syntax on the main page, which I didn't really notice until today. No one else will probably catch it, but it bugged me, so I fixed it.

October 31, 2004 --  Updated the main page, and added pics to the Pigout 2004 page. 

October 19, 2004 -- Added the overnight backpacking hike to the "recent hikes" page. Added the October 9 workday writeup and pics.

September 29, 2004 -- Getting back to updating stuff. Updated the Maint page, President's Message, member's bulletin board, membership report, and updated the main page while I was at it. .

September 25, 2004 --- After Ivan and Harvest Fest last weekend, I can finally start updating the site. Updated Hikes page, Workdays page, 

September 16, 2004 --- Got a little behind in updates, due to trying to get everything up on my new PC. Today, while watching remnants of Ivan pass by, I added info to the "what's new" page re: storm cleanup, fiixed a broken link on the PigOut 2004 page, added the 9/11 workday info and photos.

September 3, 2004 --- Added Hurricane Frances info to the what's new on the Trail page, and updated a link on the home page to point toward it.

August 30, 2004 --- Added the 2004 Pigout page with reservation form, and updated the front page to reflect the addition.

August 24, 2004 -- Updated the front page with the September hike, made a few misc. changes.

                                Added pics from the 8/21 hike, with commentary from Jim Hall and pics from Jerry Brown.

August 19, 2004 --- Updated the front page with the August hike. 

August 18, 2004 --- Updated the "join" page to emphasize that you must send in your money and a copy of the application to officially be a member. Updated the Trail Maintenance page with the 8/7 workday info and pictures, courtesy of Jerry Brown.

July 17, 2004 ---- Updated front page, links, stuff page, and maps page with addition of Chattahoochee Outdoors.

July 13, 2004 ---- Updated lots. President's message, membership page, trail maintenance page, bulletin board, body, trail register page,moonlight (night hike page --- added info about the upcoming night hike and linked to main page and hikes page.), added Pig Out 2004 info to the bulletin board as well as the notes from the last board meeting.  Updated Hikes and Workdays page.

July 11, 2004 ----- Updated Maint page with July 10 workday.

June 23, 2004 ---- Updated Hikes page. 

June 13, 2004 --- Added June workday info and pics. 

June 6, 2004 --- Added July hike to start page. Changed photo on start page.Added the June 5 hike info and pictures to the recent hikes page.

May 17, 2004 -- Jim Cook fixed the problem with the online membership submission form.  Changed several pages to reflect the change in membership privileges. Members of the PMTA are no longer allowed to buy park passes for half-price. Changed the membership page, Join page, bulletin board page, and camping page. Added the names of the parking lots to the Trail description page.

May 15, 2004 - Added three workdays to the workdays page.

May 10, 2004 - Added http://www.hikingandbackpacking.com/ to the links page. Good site, worth bookmarking.Added Jerry's photos to the April 23 fire restoration workday.  Added April 17 hike (finally, finally, I know) photos by Jerry Brown. No text yet, though. Added May 1 hike text and photos. Added 3/27 concrete dam workday to the what's new page as well as the maint page. I know it's out of order, but I'm trying to catch up. :) Deleted some info on the member's bulletin board that was outdated.

May 1, 2004 - Added a link to the Hikes page to the American Hiking Society's description of the June hike. Updated the Main page with the June hike, along with a link to the AHS home page and a link to the AHS description of the PMTA hike.  Updated the Maint page with the 4/24 Fire restoration workday info. Will add pictures later.          

April 30, 2004 - Updated body.html with tomorrow's hike. (sorry, been out of town) Added note to problem with "join" page until we can fix the problem.

April 12, 2004 - Updated Hikes (thought I did this already), updated the "What's New" page with more fire info and pictures. Also updated the Maint page with a note from Ronnie.

April 5, 2004 - Updated the "whats new" page with the fire info, as well as the main page.

March 24, 2004 - Did all kinda stuff today: Added a Safety page, and updated these pages: Body, President's Message, What's New, Hikes, Membership, Register, Maintenance pages. *whew* That's kinda like work.

                                      Added the PMT Hiking Log Word document to the site, and added a link on the What's New page.

January 25, 2004 -  Updated the main page with the new hike (after Jerry reminded me...)

January 20, 2004 -  Updated the Stuff page, added a page of the new items for sale. Fixed a broken link from the new hike pages I created on 1/19.

January 19, 2004 -  Updated Recent hikes page with a description and photos of the 1/19 hike. Also created a 2003 hikes page.

January 13, 2004 - Updated Workdays, Bulletin Board and Main page to reflect the change in workday from 4/10 to 4/3.

Added Mike Menser's name as hike leader to the April hike. Added note to Bulletin Board about November night hike.

Changed the fonts and placement of the "new" logos in the bottom right hand side "links" bar, as well as changed the colors of the links to be consistent.

Updated the Trail Maintenance page including photos.
