Numerous volunteers from our membership have helped the PMTA grow and flourish for more than 30 years. We continue to grow. The scope and reach of our association in promoting and maintaining the Pine Mountain Trail will always be determined by our membership. Let’s all do our part to keep the association vibrant and to spread the word about our trail.

EMAIL addresses & phone numbers for PMTA members and others who receive this newsletter.

Most of you now have an email address. A lot of the email addresses and phone numbers we have for you members are not the correct ones. Jerry Brown our membership chairman and I need your help. See, every time we send out an email notice many come back not delivered. Our email list is very short now. Beside the PMTA board we have 62 email addresses. From time to time we would like to send out emails about changes in the activity schedule or something we think you should be aware of (ie: the burns, storm damage, etc.) So, those of you who wish to receive email info about the trail and the PMTA, PLEASE email us a message back to me (Jim Hall) at jim-helen@msn.com Put in the subject box “ PMTA member/contact email address verification” And just say something like “Please send me updates about the trail and the PMTA” It would also be a good idea to enclose your telephone numbers (home and cell phone.) Why? On occasion we may need help right away and could call certain folks for help if we had a phone number for you (ie: storm damage, help with upcoming hikes, a lost hiker or hiking the trails looking for storm damage.)

If you change email addresses, keep the PMTA in mind and let us know.

Annual members: please check the address label on your newsletter to see when your membership will expire.

LIFE members: If you have lost your membership card, contact Jerry Brown for a free replacement.

Remember:  Backpacking on the PMT is free if you show your PMTA membership card when obtaining a backcountry permit.

Thanks to all New and Renewing Members!
It's your support that keeps the Association going.
