You do not have to be a member of the PMTA to join us on our monthly hikes and workdays, and you don't need to sign up in advance. Just show up a few minutes before the stated start time.

Wanted: Hike Leaders for PMTA Hikes

PMTA members: If you would like to lead a monthly hike, please let Carl Carlson hear from you. We would love to have someone lead a hike who knows about and has an interest in telling others about the plants, insects or geology of the area. Give Carl a call at 706-628-5536 if you want to help organize or lead a hike.

Hikes are led by a member of the Pine Mountain Trail Association. Hike pace is according to the people who come on the hike. Hikes are free of charge. We suggest you bring along water and a snack or two. If you have a PMT map, you will see some hikes cross a road during the loop you walk. If you should need to cut your hike short, arrangements can be made for a shuttle back to your car.
